Was Your Stroke Started By Gum Disease
Filed under Family HealthJul 17Through the seasons, you should always take a strong personal interest in your oral health. Health issues, and in particular gum disease can be better managed when you maintain a daily regimen of brushing and flossing.
The disease of the mouth, the gums and jaw bone structures specifically, is known as periodontal disease ” pronounced simply as: per-ee-oh-don-tal disease. Technically Gingivitis and periodontitis are the components of gum disease. The warning signs of gum disease are clear: gums which easily bleed and are red or swollen.
The contributor to gum disease is a plaque build-up in the mouth. This is the same plaque which clogs arteries. Its a sticky usually non-detectable layer where bacteria naturally grow. The bacteria in plaque give off toxins which damage your gums and irritate the jaw bones supporting the teeth.
Some of the warning signs that you may have gum disease are:
Red or swollen gum tissue
When you Bite you notice that Your Teeth do not fit like the used to
Your Gums Easily Bleed when you Brush or Floss
Loose or separating permanent teeth
A change in the fit of partial dentures
Partial Dentures that do not fit
Your Teeth May Feel Loose or May Separate between Each Other
Some people do not know they have gum disease because they do not show any sign. Periodontal disease is usually painless and easily overlooked. It can be passed from person to person by a simple kiss. But, your heart and lungs can be negatively impacted by gum disease. If you are diabetic or pregnant you can have further health concerns.
Gum disease is primarily caused by plaque, but there are other factors which can cause gum disease, such as:
Your Family History
Bad Oral Management
Prescription Medications
General Disregard Oral Hygiene
Hormonal Changes
Your own DNA
Its important to visit your dentist for regular check-ups. Gum disease and other oral diseases can be remedied more easily when they are detected early. Examinations for gum disease usually include radiographs, and gum measurements. Most dentists use a tiny ruler called a probe to measure the space between your tooth and gum during their gum disease exam.
Gum disease can be treated with a Diode Laser, a laser which removes diseased tissues and kills bacteria. Dramatic results are seen as early as the day of the treatment.
Tooth brushing and flossing are the major tools in preventing gum disease. Used on a daily basis they help to reduce your gum disease risk and will manage your oral health.
In addition to the tooth brush and floss you can also use an interproximal brush ” those tiny toothbrushes used to clean between your teeth, rubber tipped stimulator as well as a tongue scraper all work to better manage your oral health.
Your complete body system is impacted by the destruction brought on with gum disease.
Gum disease can be reversed by having your dentist and hygienist regularly clean your teeth along with you maintaining a routine floss and brush schedule. The risk of gum disease or the level of magnitude can be reduced measurably by simple life changes:
If you Smoke - Stop
Reduce Your Stress
Exercise to Reduce Stresses
Maintain a Good Diet
The Centers for Disease Control have identified links between gum disease and other health risks. Under certain conditions, the bacteria found in gum disease may lead to much more serious health problems like stroke, and heart disease.

I cured my hyperhidrosis in two weeks
Filed under FitnessApr 14Excessive sweating causes and treatments.
Someone who has never had an excessive sweating problem will find it hard to fathom the embarrassment and utter dismay that comes with this disorder. Everyday situations become awkward and trying to someone who is self-conscious of the way they may look to others.
A situation that causes someone who suffers from hyperhidrosis to be close to others will find themselves feeling even more anxiety because of this disorder. Excessive sweating has been known to make personal as well as social settings more challenging.
I do however have some good news for you. There is an excessive sweating cure! You don’t have to live with hyperhidrosis any longer.
Although there are many medical treatments for excessive sweating it is always a good idea to use any natural treatments as a first line of defense. Some specialists may prescribe super high strength antiperspirants to you. While other doctors may try and get you to remove your sweat glands through surgery.
The problem with prescription strength antiperspirants is the link between such diseases as breast cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. Aluminum chloride, the ingredient found in most of these products, is used to clog the pores and keep the sweat glands from producing as much sweat.
This can pose a problem because of the nature of our bodies and our skin specifically is to “take in” and absorb what ever we put on it. Too much Aluminum chloride in the body can wreck havoc on internal organs and the lymphatic system.
Using a prescription strength antiperspirant is not a “cure” for excessive sweating. At best it may only lighten the amount of sweat produced by your overactive sweat glands.
Another doctor recommended “medical” alternative is a very expensive procedure called Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy. Not covered by most insurance policies this surgery has some unwanted side effects such as a condition known as “compensatory sweating”.
Compensatory sweating in essence means that other areas of the body, like the trunk, feet, hands or thighs sweat much more than they did before the procedure was done.
Don’t live with hyperhidrosis any longer!
Hey, I know how you feel. I get uncomfortable about my appearance as well at times. I struggled with this for over ten years myself. I looked everywhere for a cure from my excessive sweating.
