How To: Acne Scar Removal
Filed under Women's HealthOct 25A common type of skin disease that afflicts adolescence is acne vulgaris. Acne can result in pimples, large papules, scaly red skin, whiteheads and blackheads on or near the chest, back and face. The problem can lead to scarring, but acne scar removal is available in many different forms.
Inflammation of skin layers or a wound that is trying to heal, but produces too much collagen in an area can create a scarring. Hypertrophic blemishes appear thickened and keloid-like. When a wavy appearance is present on the skin it is called a rolling scar. Angular scars may develop near the cheeks and temples. They can produce deep or superficial marks on skin. Generally they resemble chickenpox marks. Icepick scars are given their name because they leave an indentation in the skin.
Nodular or cystic acne can leave red inflamed marks on skin. This condition can also leave blemishes or dark spots. If afflicted with this disease, try not to aggravate the infected area. Avoid squeezing, popping or scratching the sores. These blemishes can remain forever or gradually fade with time.
There are options for treatment. The form of treatment is most effective depends upon the type of blemishes on the face. A costly option involves laser scar treatment. With non-ablative or fractional lasers, the top layer of skin can be vaporized off, removing blemishes and wrinkles.
Another method for facial rejuvenation involves a process called micro-dermabrasion. This treatment involves exfoliating the skin to remove all dead skin cells on the top layer. The procedure is recommended for individuals with shallow scars and pigmentation problems. It is a preferred method of removal because it is a non-invasive procedure performed by a skincare technician.
Creams and washes are available treatments. They can be purchased over-the-counter or prescribed by a doctor. These chemicals have the ability to replace damaged skin cells, improve skin strength, clear out bacteria and fade the appearance of blemishes.
There are natural options available. Drinking plenty of water is suggested when trying to clear skin up. Applying cocoa butter or lemon juice to a scar can help fade it with time. Most scarring will fade with time.

Cotton Pads and Pretty Face
Filed under FitnessAug 20I use around 10 cotton pads everyday for my cleansing and skin care. I am very interested if I am using the cotton pads correctly. I do some researches; gather some information and I discover that to use cotton pads correctly is very important. As the step is very easy maybe, most of us do not pay attention to the usage of cotton pads. I decide to write this short article to talk about by research result and experience. You can simple spend a few minutes reading it and you will also know the right way of using cotton pads.
First, before you can use your cotton pads, you have to buy ones. When you walk into the drugstore, you may find two types of cotton pads, one is made of cotton and the other is made of non-woven fabric. Both of them are good, but you need to know which one to use for different purpose. The cotton ones are usually thicker and therefore less absorbent. If you use the cotton pads for applying toner, you can choose the non-woven ones. Otherwise, you may need to dispense larger amount of toner every time. The thicker cotton pads on the other hand are good choice to cleanse cuticle or act as cotton masks.
Though many of you like the soft texture of cotton pads, soft cotton pads are not necessarily the best. Whether the cotton pads are made of natural materials or if the cotton fiber will leave on face should be your first criteria to choose cotton pads.
When you apply toner every day, you can use cotton pads to help. A famous Japanese cosmetic brand, Shiseido has researched that around 1.5 to 2 ml of toner should be poured onto the cotton pads every time. The method of applying toner to eye areas and other facial areas is different. As eye area skin is very delicate and sensitive, you should not wipe the toner with a strong force. Just press and hold the cotton onto the areas for a few seconds. For cheek and jawbone areas, you can find most of the cuticle there. You can use a stronger force to wipe the toner onto your face.
Other than lotion, you can also use cotton pads for applying lotion. Many ladies like to use their hand to apply lotion. This is not bad but you may not actually apply lotion evenly to all over face. The hard to reach areas like around the nose are easily missed. Cotton pads can help in this case. Dispense the lotion onto your cotton pads and use the same wipe clean action for your cheek and chin. For eye areas, you may need to add a few drops of water to your cotton pad as well. The water facilitates easier effusion of the lotion.
If you have blackhead, cotton pads may also help. First, to deal with blackhead, you should try to avoid squeeze them out from the pores. Soak the cotton pads with toner. Place the toner onto T zone and wait for several minutes. The toner helps soften the blackhead. Then you can clean the blackhead with a wiping action.
Finally, as most of the cotton pads are with 5mm thick, you can use them as your cotton mask. You can simply use toner to soak them. Tear them into 5 to 6 layers and place on your whole face.
