Why snoring occurs?
Filed under SleepJan 16What is the real cause of snoring? It’s really tough to answer if we’re talking about only one reason. It’s truly a fusion of several fundamental contributors.
By medical terms, snoring is expressed as a sound produced by vibrating from airways of respiratory zone which seems during sleeping time only. Many people wonders about why snoring occurs only during relaxing periods. During waking hours one’s snoring is very trim. It can be said that only relax muscle causes snoring.
During sleep, all our controlled muscles keep relaxing along with the throat. The throat tissues are soft which added to the ultimate result of vibrating noise. When the tissue becomes relaxing, the air passage becomes narrower which causes louder noise due to enough space for friction. These are the same reason for the difference in loudness, pitch and tones of snoring.
Loudness of snore depends on the wind that passes through the passage. Actually faster wind creates the snore louder and more resonant. That’s why babies can snore, however it’s not a real snore only a mild noise that creates by the respiratory tract. It can’t be ignored that it’s a sign that somewhat is stiff in child’s respiration channel.
It may emerge to both genders at any age, but the grown-up men are mostly pretentious by this. In general, men have fleshier and wider neck than women. This feature attached with air pace creates more probability of snoring.
Meanwhile, women by nature produce progesterone hormones. This is known to inhibit snoring, thus they are less susceptible towards the irritable sounds. Because this actual hormone helps in relieving a person from this nighttime dilemma, some anti-snoring devices are known to use progesterone as their basic ingredient.
Lifestyle and health factors are also declared as culprits of snoring. These include:
Allergies that cause clogs in the air paths.
Allergy medicines can dry the nasal cavities.
Some people experience it during sickness, mostly in cold and flu.
Extreme ingestion of alcohol.
Thicken tissue of the nasal route. Sometimes surgeries can provide the rate and intensity of snoring.
Abnormally large belly or guts.
Overusing of nasal sprays brings annoyance of airways.
Abnormally large tonsils or adenoids
Smoking creates tenderness in airways.
Bulge of thyroid gland or goiter.
Blockage of the airflow due to large tongue.
Medicines which use for relaxation.
Weight
Uncontrolled nasal membranes.

Understand The Causes of Your Snoring
Filed under Family HealthJan 8You might have some trouble finding a book in the bookstore that is meant to help you stop snoring, but I seriously doubt that. People have done all kinds of research on the topic since man could read and write, and many of them have published their findings in books and journals. Getting your hands on any one of those might just be the relief that you need.
A deviated nasal septum is a sure ticket to loud snoring. Now, I don’t suppose you know what that is, and I will not presume to try breaking it down to you. You need a doctor, and you need one in a hurry. Some kind of medication can help you make it better or perhaps some other more serious treatment. Whatever it is, you certainly don’t want it to take a lot longer.
With the whole house complaining about your snoring, it is time to put an end to all of that. You know as well as I do that you need to be shedding some weight already, so get on about it. Afterall, you know that you are snoring because of your weight and not something else.
When flabby throat muscles are drawn into your airways, you snore. The trick to stopping if you are unfortunate enough to have this sort of thing disturbing you is to find ways to tauten the muscles. Throat sprays do the trick well enough, so you could get yourself a couple of cans.
When you are overly relaxed, either as a result of physical exertion or anything else, you are likely to snore that night when you sleep. If you are not a habitual snorer, you could overlook that one experience; however if you were already looking for ways to stop, don’t get into the habit of such.
Men and women snore, although ladies like to make believe like it’s beneath them. We all need to do something about it though, rather than point fingers, and I think the best thing you can do is to study. Once you understand the anatomy of the process, you should, be able to do things to alter its occurrence.
With the passageways in your throat refusing to let the air through, it often comes out with that rasping sound that we all know as snoring. To stop snoring therefore, you simply have to clear out those passageways. Any way you can bring that about - without hurting yourself, of course - will be welcome.
Remember, it’s up to you to face your snoring head on. I know of one way by which you may not stop snoring. That is blaming someone else for what is happening to you, and not taking responsibility for it. That’s a major thumbs down that will get you nowhere anytime soon. Take responsibility, take charge, and you can actually make it.
