There also take-home kits that can provide excellent results but may take weeks to months to get the results. The last common option is an over-the-counter teeth whitening product that is usually the cheapest. These however, may only whiten a few teeth and may not last very long.

In 1858 the Dental Hospital of London opened, this was the first clinical dental training facility in Britain. Harvard was the first university to incorporate classes and begin teaching dental school, which was started in 1867.
